Authorities are asking for the public’s help identifying potential victims of Robert D. Caesar, a former Butler County resident awaiting trial for allegedly abusing underage children.
Caesar, 56, most recently of Oxford, in Chester County, was charged by federal indictment in November with production, receipt and possession of child pornography in Chester County. He is expected to go on trial in U.S. District Court in Philadelphia Sept. 30, U.S. Attorney William M. McSwain said in a news release.
The federal indictment in Philadelphia alleges that in 2017, Caesar manufactured child pornography. The indictment further alleges that Caesar received child pornography in December of 2017 and January of 2018.
In May 2018, Cranberry Township police charged Caesar with assaulting two underage boys when he lived there in 2005. He is awaiting trial on those charges in Butler County Common Pleas Court.
Caesar remains in federal custody in Chester County, according to authorities.
McSwain and agent Michael T. Harpster of the FBI’s Philadelphia Division said that Caesar has also lived in Philadelphia, Norristown, Cranberry Township and Pittsburgh; Richland, N.Y.; and Silverthorne, Colo.
Anyone with information or believe someone they know may have been victimized by Caesar is asked to contact the Philadelphia Division at 215-418-4000 or go to www.fbi.gov/RobertCaesar or email ReportRDC@fbi.gov.
If convicted, Caesar faces a maximum possible sentence of 100 years of imprisonment, a minimum of 15 years imprisonment, supervised release for a minimum of five years and a lifetime maximum, a $1 millionfine, mandatory restitution, and up to $20,400 in special assessments.
