Reno Graham, 13, of Greensburg backflips off the diving board Tuesday while at Youngwood Area Park & Pool. Temperatures inched into the 90 degree range on Tuesday, marking this week as one of the hottest of the season.

According to the National Weather Service, the flashes of light in the sky this Fourth of July are just as likely to be lightning as they are to be fireworks.

As sustained hot weather continues, forecasters are predicting a 40% to 70% chance of daily and evening thunderstorms through Saturday night. That forecast also includes a hazardous weather outlook, with isolated severe thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening hours that have the potential for damaging wind and flash flooding.
