Goat yoga is one of the upcoming events at Freedom Farms in Butler.

A lineup of outdoor events is planned in June at Freedom Farms in Butler County’s Middlesex Township, including goat yoga this Saturday and a barbecue dinner with beer on Sunday.

With Butler County going to the green phase of Gov. Tom Wolf’s reopening plan on Friday, Freedom Farms had events planned and just needed the all clear to open up to the public for outdoor events.

“We are a farm and have a lot of land for people to spread out,” said Amy Paterline, events and marketing manager for Freedom Farms.

“The public can venture out here and feel comfortable to stay the appropriate 6 feet away from everyone.”

Masks for the public are optional for the outdoor events.

Upcoming events include:

Goat Yoga, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday. An hour of yoga with a certified yoga instructor followed by an hour of cuddling with baby goats and wine and cheese tasting. Cost: $30

Brews and BBQ Dinner in the Field, 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday. A home-cooked meal with beer from North Country Brewing and Butler Brew Works as well as live music from Acoustic Diversion. Cost: $50

Berry Days, 11 am. to 5 p.m. June 13-14. Fresh, local strawberries will be featured as well as tractor rides, a petting zoo and more than 50 craft vendors. The event promises “berry-flavored everything.” Cost: $5 admission per person can be paid at the door; free for children 12 and younger.

Visit Freedom Farms’ website for more information and to register for events.
