Hidden Valley Resort in Somerset County will reopen Tuesday after a minor kitchen fire forced the resort to close Monday.

The resort, owned by Vail Resorts, announced their reopening on social media Tuesday morning.

A fire stared in the kitchen area of the Clocktower Restaurant around 7:50 a.m. Monday and was quickly contained. Three employees were transported to a local hospital for medical evaluation, according to a resort spokesperson, and neighboring fire departments responded to the blaze immediately.

The Hidden Valley Foundation on Monday operated its shuttles during the day to take homeowners from Hidden Valley to the Seven Springs Resort.

Hidden Valley Resort — which sits on a 1,200-acre property with 29 ski slopes and trails, an 18-hole golf course and a lodge — remained closed throughout the day Monday while the resort worked with local utility providers to restore service.
