2 injured in crash in Brookline
Two men were injured and transported to the hospital early Monday after the vehicle they were riding in crashed into a building in Pittsburgh.
The crash happened at about 12:30 a.m. in the 1400 block of West Liberty Avenue as the pair were headed north, according to Pittsburgh Public Safety.
The passenger was reported in critical condition with internal injuries and a broken femur. The driver, who was freed from the wreckage by first responders, was upgraded from serious condition to stable condition.
Detectives with the city’s Collision Investigation Unit are investigating.
Lottery ticket worth $890K sold in Irwin
A Pennsylvania Lottery ticket sold Sunday in Irwin paid off with a six-figure prize.
Lottery officials said the ticket sold at a 7-Eleven store at 9299 Route 30 matched all six numbers in the Match 6 drawing, earning the holder a jackpot of $890,000.
The winner of the prize wasn’t immediately known.
The store will collect a $5,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
Pittsburgh police seek missing 14-year-old girl
Pittsburgh police are searching for a missing 14-year-old girl who is in need of prescription medication.
Selena Hawkins was last seen around 11 a.m. Monday in Downtown Pittsburgh, according to police.

She was wearing red-and-black sneakers and a red sweatsuit with the word “Queen” written on it.
She may be in the Homewood, McKeesport or Plum areas, police said.
Special Victims Unit detectives are investigating.

North Fayette road to close through June
A section of Cliff Mine Road in North Fayette will close to traffic beginning at 9 a.m. March 25 for a bridge project, according to Allegheny County Public Works.
The closure will be in place between Woodcrest Drive and Pine Lane and is expected to continue into June.
Crews will replace Montour Run Bridge No. 15, which carries an average of 3,704 vehicles daily and has a “poor” rating of 3 on a 0-9 scale. Work will include removing gravel and sediment from Montour Run.
Traffic will be detoured using West Allegheny Road, Steubenville Pike and Mahoney Road. Access will be maintained for residents living near the closure.
The project will be completed by Pugliano Construction Co. of Plum as part of a $2.6 million contract that includes work on six other bridges.
