Crash shuts down West Liberty Avenue; power outages reported
Multiple Pittsburgh neighborhoods were left without power Friday morning following a vehicle crash along West Liberty Avenue, according to TribLive news partner WTAE.
The station reports that around 3:30 a.m., a white SUV crashed into a utility pole in the 1700 block of West Liberty.
Allegheny County 911 reported no one was transported to the hospital from the scene.
Power outages were reported in Brookline, Beechview, Beltzhoover and Mount Oliver, according to Duquesne Light’s website.
West Liberty Avenue remained closed in both directions around 4 a.m. around the crash area.
Water main break disrupts traffic in Mt. Lebanon
A water main break early Friday in Mt. Lebanon is causing traffic issues, according to the Mt. Lebanon Police Department’s Facebook page.
The break has caused buckling along Cochran and Beverly roads, police said. Traffic is being re-routed at Arden, McCann and Bower Hill.
Police are urging motorists avoid the area.
The break was reported around 6 a.m.
Bethel Park police search for 15-year-old
Bethel Park police are asking the public’s help in locating a missing teen girl last seen around 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
Isabella Grooms, 15, is described as having brown hair and eyes, about 5-foot-3 and 165 pounds, according to a social media post from Bethel Park police. She was seen leaving a friend’s house on Bertha Street.
Anyone with information on Grooms is asked to call 412-833-2000.
1 injured in motorcycle crash in Beaver County
One person was injured Thursday night in a motorcycle crash in Beaver County, according to TribLive news partner WTAE.
The crash occurred around 7:50 p.m. on Route 68 in Industry. The injured person was flown to the hospital.
Their condition is unknown.
Crews battle fire in Monongahela
Crews were dispatched early Friday morning to a fire in Monongahela, Washington County, according to TribLive news partner WTAE.
The fire was reported at around 6:30 a.m. in the 200 block of Main Street.
There were no initial reports of injuries.
