Shooting injures 1 in Clairton
Allegheny County Police are investigating a shooting Monday night in Clairton that sent a boy to a hospital.
The shooting was reported to county 911 dispatchers shortly after 9 p.m. in the 300 block of Locust Alley/Wylie Avenue.
Police said first responders found a boy who had been shot in the leg. Several spent casings were found on the ground nearby, they said. He was taken by ambulance to a hospital in stable condition.

Daytime restrictions to begin on I-70
Motorists can expect to encounter single-lane restrictions on Interstate 70 in Rostraver beginning at 9 a.m. Tuesday.
The restrictions are set to take effect from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Thursday for eastbound and westbound traffic between Exit 49, for Smithton, and the Route 51 interchange.
Crews from Geronimo Painting will complete preparatory containment work on the Matthew Smelser Memorial Bridge, which spans the Youghiogheny River.
This work is part of a $120.6 million I-70 project to reconstruct the Route 51 interchange and widen adjacent sections of Route 51 and I-70. The project is slated for completion in October 2027.
