Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for killing a Philadelphia man whose body was discovered last week along a rural road in Indiana County.

The death of Dashawn C. Green-Brewster, 27, of Philadelphia, was ruled a homicide by Indiana County Coroner Jerry L. Overman Jr. after an autopsy. No details on the manner of death have been released pending further investigation, but troopers said the death is suspicious.

Around 2:15 p.m. Thursday, a body was discovered in a grassy area along the 2000 block of Mulligan Hill Road in West Wheatfield Township in southern Indiana County, near the border with Westmoreland County. A PennDOT worker found the body while he was inspecting drains along the road, Trooper Clifford Greenfield.

State police, working with the coroner’s office, identified Green-Brewster, who had been reported missing to Johnstown police on Jan. 19, Greenfield said.

Overman said further analysis is being conducted on blood and tissues after the autopsy conducted Friday at ForensicDX in Windber, Somerset County.

Anyone with information can the state police station in Indiana at 724-357-1960.

Greenfield said all callers to Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers remain anonymous and could be eligible for an unspecified cash reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction.
