State police in Indiana are seeking a Shelocta man wanted on drug charges following a Feb. 2 incident in White Township.

Police charged Frederick James Moran, 29, with felony drug possession after troopers responded to a report of an intoxicated man acting erratically at an apartment complex on Roush Drive.

“The trooper found Moran to be manifestly under the influence of a controlled substance, to the degree that he was a danger to himself,” Trooper Cliff Greenfield wrote in a state police news release.

Moran was taken by ambulance to Indiana Regional Medical Center for treatment. While Moran was at the hospital, police at the apartment complex discovered three individual bags of suspected crystal methamphetamine, which appeared to be packaged for sale, according to the news release.

Moran was charged the next day with one count of drug possession with intent to deliver, and one count each of possession of drug paraphernalia, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.

District Judge Christopher S. Welch issued a warrant for Moran’s arrest. The press release did not say how Moran eluded arrest.

He is approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall, 180 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair, and was last seen in Indiana.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
