Snow in the forecast for Western Pa.
The National Weather Service Pittsburgh released this forecast Thursday morning:
The area is under a winter weather advisory until 4 a.m. Friday.
Widespread accumulating snow is predicted to start Thursday morning and will continue all day, impacting both the morning and afternoon rush hours. Accumulation in the lower elevations will be between 1-3 inches with up to 6-10 inches in the higher elevations.
The service anticipates snow will end at lower elevations by 10 p.m. Thursday. It’ll continue in the higher elevation areas overnight.
Here is the updated total snowfall forecast. Snow will begin between 5am and 8am. Like the last disturbance, this one will likely produce similar impacts with deteriorating road conditions at times.
