Temporary changes have been made at PNC Bank offices to help stop the spread of the coronavirus, officials announced Thursday.
Beginning Friday, the Pittsburgh-based bank will keep about three-quarters of their branch locations open, offering drive-up services only. A full list of PNC Bank locations can be found on their website, pnc.com (search for “branch locator”).
Open locations will keep regular hours, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
“The safety and well-being of our customers, employees and the communities we serve remains our top priority, and our thoughts are with those who are being impacted by this global pandemic,” PNC CEO Bill Demchak said in a news release. “The challenges all of us face at this time are unprecedented, and PNC is making these adjustments to help keep our customers and employees safe.”
Officials are urging people to use self-service banking through mobile, online and voice banking services, which allow customers to check balances, transfer funds and deposit checks.
The bank is also offering essential appointments for customers needing access to safe deposit boxes, loan closings or other banking needs that cannot be conducted through drive-up services. Appointments can be made by calling the closest open branch.
Hardship relief available
PNC is also offering hardship relief options for those experiencing financial difficulty due to the coronavirus. Those interested can call 1-888-762-2265 to discuss options.
