An Amber Alert was issued Tuesday for a teenager after a 52-year-old city man was found shot to death, Connellsville police said.

State police in Uniontown activated the child abduction alert at 9:50 a.m. for Damion Mickey, 16, who was last seen between 2 and 3 a.m.

Police were dispatched to reports of “multiple gunshots” on East Fairview Avenue and found William Stewart dead on the back porch of the home at 238 E. Fairview Ave., Connellsville City Detective Thomas Patton said.

Two people are charged with homicide, kidnapping and conspiracy in connection with the shooting: Keith Scott Bradshaw, 31, of Everson, and Marjorie Ann Jay, 37, of Connellsville, according to court records. Jay, who accompanied Bradshaw to the home, was arraigned Tuesday and ordered held in the Fayette County Prison without bail.

“During the course of the investigation, officers determined that a 16-year-old juvenile (Mickey) was missing,” police said.

According to court papers, the shooting occurred during an argument between Stewart and Bradshaw. Jay told police that she went with Bradshaw to the home because he wanted to speak with Mickey.

Jay told investigators Bradshaw told her he “didn’t want anyone to get hurt.”

However, Jay also told investigators that Bradshaw had items “to tie the boy up,” Patton said in court documents.

After Bradshaw and Jay jumped a back yard fence and approached the house, Jay reported Stewart came outside to walk his dogs and an argument occurred between him and Bradshaw. Mickey’s mother is Stewart’s boyfriend, police said.

Witnesses reported Bradshaw pulled a gun out of his waistband and shot Stewart, then went into the home, forcibly removed Mickey and drove away. police said. Jay was found at her home.

Bradshaw was identified in the alert as a suspect in Mickey’s alleged kidnapping. Police issued the alert for Bradshaw’s 2018 white Chevrolet Malibu and said that Mickey may be with him.

Police canceled the alert by 10:15 a.m. after state police tracked Bradshaw and Mickey in Chambersburg byusing the vehicle’s OnStar system, Patton said.

Both Bradshaw and Mickey were taken into custody, police said. Bradshaw has not been arraigned. Mickey is not charged.

“The incident is still considered to be an ongoing investigation, and there is no further information being released at this time. Connellsville police believe there is no risk to the public,” Patton said.

Anyone with information is asked to call city police at 724-628-2501 ext. 110.
