The coronavirus crisis has produced many heroes in our region, some well known and some unsung.
In an effort to tell the stories of as many of these heroes as possible, Trib Total Media is launching a Thank You to the Heroes campaign.
It’s an opportunity for readers to introduce the grocery store employees, pharmacists, mail carriers, truck drivers, first responders, and of course, the health care workers who are working hard to keep the public safe.
“With everything that we are all facing right now, everyone has that personal hero to them, whether it’s their neighbor or their son or their daughter or the convenience store clerk, or, of course, the nurses and the doctors working so hard to keep us all healthy,” said Jennifer Bertetto, president and CEO of Trib Total Media. “We wanted to give everyone an opportunity to publicly thank the people who are helping to keep our world moving as best as they can right now.”
Bertetto said heroes will be featured digitally on TribLIVE.com over the course of the next several weeks to highlight the dedication of essential workers.
“This is something that I think is good for everyone’s psyche during this time — to see that goodness is still happening in the world, and there are plenty of thankful people out there recognizing the good,” Bertetto said.
