Twin Peaks Restaurant brings 'sports lodge' concept to Western Pa. locations
The Pittsburgh area is known for its sports teams, sports fans and, to a lesser extent, its sports bars.
And it looks like Western Pennsylvania will be making room for yet another one of the latter with a bit of a twist.
The Twin Peaks Restaurant chain based in the Dallas suburb of Lewisville announced Monday it’s bringing what it bills as “its one-of-a-kind sports watching paradise and lodge experience” to the region.
Twin Peaks CEO Joe Hummel said the brand reached a deal with Shamsu Charania of The Falcons Group to open three franchised locations in the Pittsburgh area in Allegheny, Westmoreland, and Washington counties. The new locations are scheduled to open starting in late 2022 or early 2023 and be completed by 2025. Calls to a representative of the companies requesting information about the specific locations were not immediately returned.
Founded in 2005, Twin Peaks has 89 locations in the U.S. and Mexico with most located in the Southwest. The closest Twins Peaks Restaurant to Pittsburgh is in Toledo.
It appears Twin Peaks’ marketing push includes a concept similar to that employed by Hooters Restaurants. Images on the website twinpeaksrestaurant.com show female employees tending bar and waiting on tables in matching, revealing outfits.
Menu offerings include made-from-scratch smashed and seared to order burgers, house smoked brisket, pork and wings as well as beer-battered chicken tenders. Drink features include bourbon or tequila poured over a crystal-clear ice ball or hand-crafted cocktails and a variety of beers.
