This tree was uprooted and fell onto a home on Woodland Road in Edgeworth during the major storm on April 29.

An imposing, 90-mile-long squall line of fast-moving thunderstorms barreled through the region on April 29, moving at speeds up to 60 mph, and packing winds that reached into the 70-mph range. Those winds downed countless trees and left numerous roads impassable or littered with debris.

Schools and businesses closed. And at one point, well more than 400,000 customers were without electricity in five counties in the region, including the Sewickley area.

Along Woodland Road in Edgeworth, trees were uprooted by the storm. One tree snapped at the corner of Irwin Drive and Woodland Road.
