The Sewickley area once again honored those who died serving the country through several Memorial Day events over the weekend.

A memorial service was held Saturday at the United States Coast Guard station in Glen Osborne and a veterans memorial service took place at Sewickley United Methodist Church on Sunday.

On Monday, the128th Memorial Day Parade marched through Sewickley and was followed by programs at Wolcott Park and Sewickley Cemetery.

This year, the annual flag retirement ceremony was moved from Friday evening in Sewickley to Monday afternoon in Leetsdale.
