3 shot, 1 killed in fight between neighbors in Jefferson Hills

A man was shot to death and two other people were critically injured by gunfire during an altercation between neighbors on Sunday afternoon in Jefferson Hills, according to authorities.
Jefferson Hills police and medics were dispatched to the 3000 block of Siler Drive at 4:10 p.m. for a 911 call about two people shot, according to an Allegheny County police, who are leading the investigation.
When first responders arrived they found a third person suffering from gunshot wounds and transported all three to area hospitals for treatment.
Jason J. Steiner, 48, of Jefferson Hills, was pronounced dead at the hospital and the two other people are in critical condition, police said.
County homicide detectives said Steiner was arguing in the front yard with two residents who lived in the home when gunfire was exchanged.

A section of Ridge Road near Siler is closed to traffic while police investigated the incident. Police said there was no active threat to nearby residents.
The road was reopened after investigators cleared the scene, according to a post on the Jefferson Hills Police Department’s Facebook page.
