A 16-year-old boy remained in Allegheny County Jail on Friday afternoon on charges that he fatally shot a man two weeks ago in Munhall.

Allegheny County Police responded around 4 a.m. Nov. 15 to the 500 block of East Ninth Avenue for reports of a shooting, police spokesman Jim Madalinsky said Friday.

First responders found a man inside an apartment, suffering from gunshot wounds, Madalinsky said. The victim, later identified as Dontae Hatcher, 33, died at the scene.

Allegheny County Police said Raylon Williams, 16, was responsible for the shooting and also threatened another person inside the apartment, Madalinsky said. Williams was taken into custody Thursday without incident.

County police charged Williams as an adult with homicide and two counts of making terroristic threats, court records show.

District Judge Craig C. Stephens denied Williams bail on Friday, court records show.

Williams’ attorney is not listed in court records. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Dec. 8, court records show.
