The Woodlands is hosting a free community open house from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on May 20 to celebrate its new Lambert Family Amphitheater.
Food trucks, vendors, crafts, entertainment and raffle prizes will be on hand.
The Woodlands, a nonprofit straddling Marshall and Bradford Woods, provides programs and support for children and adults with disabilities and chronic illnesses.
The original amphitheater space had been a central part of programs offered by The Woodlands, especially summer camp programs.
Following a tour of The Woodlands’ campus at 134 Shenot Road, Sandra and William Lambert of Cranberry Township asked what was needed “right now”?
Through their generosity, along with that of many others, The Woodlands developed a new amphitheater.
Sandra Lambert has been a longtime supporter and past president of The Woodlands’ Auxiliary. She is active in the Lamberts’ Florida home community of Gulf Harbour in Fort Myers.
William Lambert has served as MSA The Safety Company’s Non-Executive Chairman of the Board from May 2015 through May 2020, following retirement as Chief Executive Officer and President in May 2018. He joined MSA in 1981 as a design engineer and served the company in a variety of capacities of increasing responsibility.
“Our lives have truly been blessed, and we are grateful for the many opportunities we’ve been given to help organizations in our area that provide so much for so many. We are extremely proud to support the Woodlands Foundation and its efforts to offer others the ability to achieve their own personal victories,” he said.
