Upcoming events at Northern Tier Regional Library for December 2022

Northern Tier Regional Library is open Monday-Wednesday from 9 a.m.-7 p.m. and Thursday-Saturday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
At Richland Center, the library will be closed Dec. 24-26 and Dec. 31-Jan. 2 for the holidays. Pine Center will be closed from Dec. 26-Jan. 2.
The last day of services for the Pine Tree Shoppes Bookmobile will be Dec. 16. It will resume Jan. 6.
Pine Community Center Bookmobile will resume service on Jan. 4.

Pop-up book sale
The Friends of the Library will be hosting a Pop-Up Book Sale from Dec. 16-23. The sale will take place during the library’s regular hours in the program room on the main level.
Calling all library chefs
From celebrity cookbooks to cozy mysteries that include recipes, it seems that reading and cooking go hand in hand. In 2023, the library hopes to start an informal cooking group. Every meeting will have a theme, and each participant will prepare and share a recipe.
If you are interested, help us pick a day (Monday through Friday) and time — afternoon or evening. Email your preferred times to northerntier@northerntierlibrary.org.
Knit lit
Do you knit, crochet, or craft in any way? If not, would you like to learn? Beginners are invited to come and learn; experienced crafters are invited to bring a project to work on. Everyone is encouraged to bring their latest read to talk about. This program will meet inside the library in the new books section on Dec. 21 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Registration is required.
Christmas decoration donations
Are you downsizing your holiday decoration collection? Do you have duplicates of items? The library will be taking donations of your gently used Christmas decorations this year. Just drop them off at the library at your convenience. We ask that any trees donated be 4-feet or smaller.
New Year’s Family Dance Party
Northern Tier Library will have a kid-friendly dance party on Dec. 30 with its very own countdown. The fun starts at 1 p.m. and our “midnight” will be at 3 p.m. This program is for children of all ages, and registration is required.
