The Allegheny County Health Department will offer free covid-19 tests at the First United Presbyterian Church in Tarentum on Monday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The county has a purple van staffed by Curative Inc. which travels throughout the county each week to offer free testing. Visit the county’s website to see the van’s upcoming schedule.

The county will test residents at the church, welcoming walk-ins but preferring pre-registration. Appointments are suggested to minimize wait times and will take precedence over walk-ins, the county stated in a Facebook post from the Building Block of Natrona.

This is not a drive-thru testing site.

There is no out-of-pocket cost for the test and it is available for both insured and uninsured, according to the Allegheny County post.

Residents who have health insurance should bring their insurance cards.

Test results will be available one to two days after the lab receives the tests.

The church is located at 913 Lock St.
