Apollo police Tuesday charged a borough man who they said sexually assaulted an underage girl, according to court records.

Nathan Stripling, 18, was arraigned Wednesday on felony charges that include aggravated indecent assault without consent of a minor under the age of 16, unlawful contact and corruption of minor. He’s also facing two misdemeanor indecent assault charges.

According to a criminal complaint, the mother of the young teen reported to police that her daughter was assaulted by Stripling in July.

During an interview with police, the girl told authorities she told Stripling numerous times to stop touching her, even after she tried to get away from him.

After the alleged incident, the girl said she told a male friend what happened.

The girl said Stripling sent her message on Snapchat that same day that said, “Thank you, I’m going to kill myself.”

The girl said she then blocked Stripling from all of her social media accounts.

Stripling was released on a $10,000 unsecured bond. No attorney was listed in his court records.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 15.
