An illegal parking call in Arnold netted a Pittsburgh man wanted on local and federal warrants and a supply of heroin, crystal meth, cocaine and marijuana Thursday, police say.

Arnold police charged Tyriese Leon Green Saunders, 25, with felony counts of prohibited possession of a firearm, carrying a firearm without a license and a drug offense and misdemeanor counts of resisting arrest and giving false identification after they were called to the Arnold Manor housing complex for reports of a car in a no-parking zone.

His cousin, Keza Alyse McClellan, 24, of New Kensington, was charged with two felony counts of endangering the welfare of children, two summary counts for safety restraints and a stop sign violation.

According to a criminal complaint, an Arnold officer found McClellan in the driver seat of a car parked with its engine running in a no-parking zone in front of Arnold Manor. When she drove away, with two children in the car without car seats, police say she ran a stop sign and they pulled her over.

That’s when, police say, they found a man later identified as Green Saunders in the passenger seat and a strong odor of marijuana was coming from inside the vehicle, the complaint states.

Police said Green Saunders claimed to not have identification and gave a false name and dates of birth. They claimed he did not want to comply and resisted being handcuffed after officers ordered him to get out of the car.

As the two officers took Green Saunders to the ground, they saw he was carrying a handgun for which he did not have a permit.

Upon searching him, police said they found two bricks of suspected heroin, suspected crystal meth, cocaine and marijuana, the complaint states.

Police said Green Saunders was found to have a federal arrest warrant from U.S. Marshals in addition to local warrants for escape and firearms charges.

The Westmoreland Children’s Bureau allowed a relative to take McClellan’s children from the scene.

Green Saunders and McClellan were arraigned Friday before New Kensington District Judge Frank J. Pallone Jr. Green Saunders was sent tot the Westmoreland County Prison in lieu of $100,000 bond, while McClellan was released on an unsecured $10,000 bond.

Their preliminary hearings are scheduled for Oct. 17 before Pallone.
