Blawnox firefighters host 1st car cruise

A Mustang GT, a 1981 Chevrolet Chevette and a 1991 GMC Suburban 2500 SLX were among the vehicles on display at Blawnox Volunteer Fire Company’s inaugural car cruise Oct. 14.

Organizers said they had a good turnout despite the cold weather.

About 15 vehicles were on display including a GMC Suburban, a Mustang GT and a Chevrolet Chevette.

There were commemorative t-shirts and other items available. Fire company members also staffed refreshment booths.

The next car cruise is being planned for the summer.
