A fundraising campaign is underway to help a Harrison family whose home was damaged by fire last week.

Jaymian Martinka started a GoFundMe campaign to raise $10,000 for the McDaniel family.

As of Tuesday morning, the effort had raised $2,060 from 22 donors.

The fundraiser also lists sizes for men’s and women’s clothing that the family needs.

The fire at the McDaniel family’s home at 1508 Fourth St. was reported around 8:20 p.m. Friday. No one was hurt, including the family’s three small dogs.

The fire ravaged the front of the home and caused extensive damage throughout.

On Tuesday, the Allegheny County Fire Marshal reported that the fire was accidental, and related to an energized electrical power strip.
