Kiski Township Police are looking for a woman they said passed counterfeit money at a grocery store on Thursday.
In a post made on Friday to the Kiski Township Police Department Facebook page, police said the woman passed the counterfeit money on Feb. 25 at Held’s Shop & Save, 307 16th St., North Apollo.
The woman passed a counterfeit $100 bill, police said.
The woman left the store before police arrived.
When reached by phone Friday by a Trib reporter, a woman who identified herself as a co-owner at Held’s refused to give her name or comment on the ongoing investigation.
The woman depicted in the photo is seen leaving the store through the front doors wearing glasses, a face mask, red shoes and dark coat.
Kiski Police were unavailable for further comment Friday evening.
Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact the Kiski Township Police at 724-478-3357 or by sending a message via the department’s Facebook page.
