Kiski Township police identified a Leechburg man who they say led them on a car chase last Friday, April 8.

Police say that Jeffrey Nedley, 39, has been identified as the man driving a white Mitsubishi Endeavor that nearly struck a marked police car along Garvers Ferry Road in Kiski Township.

That sparked the police chase.

Nedley led police on a chase from Kiski Township through Parks Township then got away after he drove off the road and crossed a creek, police said.

Police have issued an arrest warrant for Nedley, who is charged with fleeing and eluding police, recklessly endangering another person, flight to avoid apprehension, receiving stolen property along with other criminal offenses.

During the investigation, Kiski Township police discovered that the Mitsubishi was stolen. Using surveillance video, police said they have footage of Nedley pumping gas into the car before the chase.

Police recovered the car in Gilpin on Tuesday and found that the car was stolen March 26 from New Kensington.

The car was damaged and dropped off in Gilpin for repairs, police said.

Nedley has two previous outstanding warrants including failure to appear for drug charges in Armstrong and Westmoreland counties’ Courts of Common Pleas.

Anyone with information about Nedley’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Kiski Township Police Department at 724-478-3357.
