A Lower Burrell man is accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl last summer behind a Sheetz store on the city’s Craigdell Road.

Samuel Glendon Feroce, 21, faces charges including involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a person under 16 and statutory sexual assault in connection with the July 2020 incident.

A criminal complaint filed in the case said Feroce picked up the accuser and another underage friend and they drank alcohol together. The accuser became drunk and threw up twice, according to the complaint. The girl told police that Feroce said he wanted to have sex with her, but she said no, the complaint said.

At some point after that, the girl told police that the group wound up in an alley behind the Sheetz store and Feroce removed some of her clothing and had sex with her, the complaint said. She told police that she “just froze” because she was drunk and didn’t know what to do. Feroce then drove the accuser and her friend home.

When interviewed by police, Feroce said the sex was consensual, according to the complaint.

Marco Santino Attisano, Feroce’s attorney, said, “Anyone can make allegations, we look forward to the evidence in court.”

Feroce was released from custody following his arraignment after posting 10% of a $5,000 bond.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 7.
