A Lower Burrell woman was charged with a felony after police said they received multiple complaints that she was harassing her next-door neighbor.

Shannan Lee Marie Dotto, 44, of the 7200 block of Guyer Road was charged by summons with felony and misdemeanor counts of stalking. She also was issued a citation for harassment, according to court records. A preliminary hearing before District Judge Cheryl Peck Yakopec is scheduled for Feb. 7.

Police wrote in a criminal complaint that an officer responding to a call for a disturbance along Guyer Road on Dec. 15 saw Dotto going inside her house as the officer arrived.

The woman who called told police she and her young daughter were outside playing with their puppy when Dotto screamed over from her yard for the child to shut up when she said something to her pet, the complaint said.

The woman said she went to the top of her driveway to talk to Dotto about yelling at her child and found her neighbor sitting in a vehicle, the complaint said.

As she approached the car, Dotto screamed accusations that she was stealing her internet, the woman told police.

Officers noted in the complaint that the woman called police about 10 p.m. the previous night but officers were unable to reach her when they called back.

She told the responding officer that the call was to report that Dotto was screaming at her family when they came out of their house.

Investigators said the woman also filed a complaint with police Dec. 3 in which she said she was outside with her young daughter when Dotto began screaming accusations that her family stole Dotto’s Christmas decorations.
