Parks Township man faces 13 felony charges after police say he sold heroin to informant twice
The Armstrong County District Attorney’s Office filed more than a dozen felony charges against a Parks Township man they accused of being a heroin dealer.
Jerramie Marlo Brackman, 38, of the 1100 block of Grant Street was charged with nine felony counts of criminal use of a communications facility, four felony counts of possession of drugs with the intent to deliver and four misdemeanor drug charges, according to court records.
Brackman was released from the Armstrong County Jail after posting a $30,000 unsecured bond, court records show. A preliminary hearing is scheduled before District Judge James Andring on Sept. 28.
A detective with the Armstrong County District Attorney’s Office wrote in a criminal complaint that during the summer of 2021 Brackman became the subject of a drug investigation by local police and the county drug task force.
Investigators said an informant was used to contact Brackman to arrange to buy drugs, the complaint said.
Police said they were able to confirm that Brackman was dealing heroin by having an undercover agent accompany the informant when the drug transactions were made, the complaint said.
In addition to the most recent charges, Brackman faces a preliminary hearing Nov. 16 before District Judge James Owen on two misdemeanor drug possession charges filed by state police in June, according to court records.
He also was ordered to stand trial in Westmoreland County on charges of theft, receiving stolen property and criminal mischief filed by Vandergrift police in January, court records show.
