An Arnold man was accused of being a drug dealer after police said they found fentanyl, crystal meth, marked bills and other evidence when they raided his house last week.
Dante Demetrius Scott, 33, of the 1700 block of Victoria Avenue was charged with two felony counts of possession of drugs with the intent to deliver along with two counts of drug possession and a count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police wrote in Scott’s arrest papers that Arnold police joined agents from the state Attorney General’s Office and the Westmoreland County Drug Task Force to execute a warrant to search his home and his Chevrolet SUV.
The door was unlocked when police entered Scott’s home at 8:30 a.m. Feb. 4 after knocking to announce the search warrant, according to a criminal complaint.
A woman and three children in the house were detained, police said. Scott was found in the master bedroom along with evidence of his drug-dealing operation, according to the complaint.
Police found a cellphone they said Scott used to arrange a drug sale during a previous undercover operation, the complaint said. Police said they also found $5,083 in cash that included bills marked by police that were used to buy drugs from Scott.
Also found in the bedroom were a bag of marijuana, a gun holster and three boxes of .40-caliber ammunition, police said.
When agents searched Scott’s Chevy Equinox, they found 200 packets of fentanyl and 30 grams of crystal methamphetamine, the complaint said.
Police said portions of each of the drugs that were confiscated yielded a positive result when field-tested by agents.
Scott was being detained in the Westmoreland County jail in lieu of a $50,000 cash bond, according to court records. A preliminary hearing on the charges is scheduled for Feb. 23 before District Judge Frank J. Pallone Jr.
He pleaded guilty in 2017 to felony charges of drug possession and carrying a firearm without a license. He was sentenced to two to five years in jail, court records show.
Scott also pleaded guilty in 2011 to felony counts of burglary, robbery and conspiracy filed by Arnold police and was sentenced to two to four years in jail, according to court records.
