A New Kensington man was accused of being a drug dealer by police after nearly 2 ounces of crack cocaine was seized from his home during a raid.

Alonzo Fuller, 42, of the 100 block of Catalpa Street faces a felony count of possession of drugs with the intent to deliver along with counts of drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Fuller was released from custody on a $50,000 nonmonetary bond. He faces a preliminary hearing before District Judge Frank J. Pallone Jr. on Sept. 15.

Agents from the state Attorney General’s Drug Task Force and New Kensington police officers raided Fuller’s home shortly after 7:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 29, after a judge authorized a search warrant, according to his arrest papers.

After announcing their presence, officers spotted Fuller walking toward the front door from inside the house and ordered him outside. He was taken into custody on the front porch without incident.

A woman and her 13-year-old son who were in the house also were briefly detained, the complaint said. The woman was not charged with any crimes.

When agents searched the house, they found a bag with 46.8 grams of crack cocaine and a second bag with 5.7 grams of the drug, the complaint said.

Police said they also confiscated a digital scale and $632 in cash.

Fuller did not have an attorney listed in court records.
