A road closure is set for July 24 to 28 for the section of Route 66 (River Road) between Industrial Park Road and Mongomery Lane in Parks Township so crews can repair a pipe.

PennDOT announced upcoming pipe repair work will shut down a portion of Route 66 (River Road) in Parks Township beginning July 24.

River Road will be closed, weather permitting, between Industrial Park Road and Montgomery Lane.

The closure is expected to remain in effect until July 28 as maintenance crews replace a pipe along River Road.

Motorists living in Parks Township or Vandergrift traveling to Cook Medical won’t be affected by the closure.

Industrial Park Road and Montgomery Lane will be open to motorists.

Motorists traveling from Leechburg will have to use a detour route that goes across the Leechburg Bridge onto Route 4092 (Leechburg Hill Road) to Route 56 to Vandergrift and back across the Vandergrift Bridge onto River Road.
