People cheer for Springdale High School graduating senior Alexis Arce, 18, during a “reverse parade” celebrating the Class of 2021 near the football stadium on Tuesday, May 25, 2021. During the parade, seniors lined both sides of Lincoln Avenue as decorated cars carrying friends and family honked their horns and threw candy their way.

Springdale High School graduating seniors were celebrated during a “reverse parade” on Tuesday.

During the event, members of the Class of 2021 lined each side of Lincoln Avenue near the stadium as decorated vehicles carrying their friends and family drove by honking their horns, cheering and tossing candy. Reverse parades became “a thing” last year as the covid-19 pandemic prevented tradition celebrations.

The event was sponsored by the Springdale High School Alumni Association and Dynamo Education Association.
