PennDOT announced periodic traffic stoppages on North Warren Avenue in Apollo from Feb. 14-17.

The stoppages, 15 minutes or less, are planned for North Warren Avenue near North 11th Street.

Stoppages should be less than 15 minutes or less at a time between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.

The stoppages are necessary for the delivery of box culvert sections for work on the Apollo Group Bridges project.

The $4.9 million project includes the replacement of three structures carrying Route 56 over Sugar Hollow Run in Apollo as well as some nearby sections of Route 56 over Kiski River tributaries in Kiski Township, said Christina Gibbs, spokeswoman for PennDOT.

Plum Contracting, of Greensburg, is the primary contractor for the project expected to be complete by December 2023.
