A lucky gas station customer in Monessen bought a scratch-off ticket worth $1 million, according to the Pennsylvania Lottery.

Eastgate Exxon & Convenience Store on Eastgate Avenue sold the winning Magnificent Millions ticket, which cost $20.

The odds of winning the $1 million to prize in Magnificent Millions are 1 in 1.32 million, according to the Pennsylvania Lottery.

The store will receive a $5,000 bonus from the lottery for selling a winner.

The winner has not been identified. Eastgate Exxon could not be reached for comment Wednesday.

Scratch-off winners have one year to claim their prize by contacting the Lottery at 1-800-692-7481. The Monessen ticket is the first big winner sold in Westmoreland County since August, when a Fast Play ticket worth $153,000 was sold in New Alexandria.

Three top prizes remain in the Magnificent Millions game.
