Two Franklin Regional graduates are among the “Crimson Court” at Indiana University of Pennsylvania’s homecoming celebration on Saturday, Oct. 1.
IUP’s annual homecoming celebration will take place throughout the weekend starting on Friday, and is expected to draw thousands for alumni reunions and events surrounding the homecoming parade and game.
Tamzan Schmidt, a 2019 Franklin Regional graduate, and Rachel Kochanowski, a 2020 FR graduate, will be part of IUP’s Crimson Court.
“We’ll be in the homecoming parade with our prospective deans from the different colleges,” said Kochanowski, 20, a marketing major with a minor in graphic design. “I’ll be riding with the dean and assistant dean for the Eberly College of Business.”
Schmidt is a speech language pathology and audiology major, with a minor in deaf studies.
Prior to the homecoming game that will see either IUP (3-0) or Slippery Rock (4-0) remain undefeated, Schmidt and Kochanowski will also participate in the “Crimson Huddle,” a tailgate social networking event with alumni.
The game begins at 2 p.m., with homecoming winners announced at halftime.
