The hard-rock, glam-metal band Kix will take the stage at 8 p.m. Friday at The Lamp Theatre, 222 Main St., Irwin.
The band’s 1988 release, “Blow My Fuse,” went platinum, with the power ballad “Don’t Close Your Eyes” peaking at No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Opening act will be Fonic, playing rock hits from the 1970s to today.

Remembering Grace
The 14th annual Race for Grace will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday at Norwin High School, 251 McMahon Drive, North Huntingdon.
Held in memory of Grace Ekis of North Huntingdon, who died at age 5 in 2008 of an incurable form of brain cancer, the race supports the Reflections of Grace Foundation, which aids families across the country with children battling brain cancer.
Race day registration begins at 7 a.m. for a 5K run or walk or 1-mile fun walk. Fee is $35, or $30 for ages 12 and younger.
After the race, there will be games, dance performances, silent auctions and charitable hair donations, concluding around 1 p.m. after an awards ceremony.

What’s out there?
Mutual UFO Network of Pennsylvania will host the 14th annual Westmoreland UFO Conference at 9 a.m. Saturday at Westmoreland Community College, 145 Pavilion Lane, Hempfield. Registration opens at 8:30 a.m.
Speakers on topics including ufology and cryptozoology will include Derrel Sims, Bill Birnes, John Ventre, Kerry Trent, Richard Lang and Tony Lavorgne. Vendors will be present.
The conference will conclude at 8 p.m. after a buffet dinner and question-and-answer session with the speakers.

Health and harmony
Dorit Brauer, an artist and founder of the Brauer Institute for Holistic Medicine in Pittsburgh, will lead a meditation and guided imagery workshop from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday in The Westmoreland Museum of American Art, 221 N. Main St., Greensburg.
The session, intended to create health, balance and harmony in body, mind and spirit using the colors of the rainbow, will be accompanied by a “sound bath” from quartz crystal singing bowls.
Attendees should bring a mat and wear comfortable clothing.

Passion play
“The Passion of Our Lord,” a live stage and multimedia performance depicting the life and ministry of Jesus, will be presented at 7 p.m. Sunday through April 15 at Word of Life Church, 4497 Route 136, Hempfield.
Doors open at 6 p.m. nightly, with choir prelude at 6:20 p.m.
Admission is free, but tickets are required for first-come, first-served seating.
