No one was hurt when a man fired a gun in a Greensburg neighborhood Saturday afternoon because he was upset to learn about an affair, according to police.
Jacques L. Pearsall, 28, of Ambridge, is accused by authorities of pulling the trigger.
Authorities were called to White Street around 1 p.m. Saturday for a report of shots fired. A resident provided video surveillance that showed Pearsall arrive in a white box truck and confront a man who supposedly knew about the affair, according to court papers. Pearsall was seen in the video pointing a gun at someone and waving it around. One shot was fired on the video, police said.
Officers pulled the truck over on South Main Street. One of two passengers told police Pearsall pointed the gun at him and felt the bullet fly by after it was fired, according to court papers.
Pearsall admitted to being upset and claimed he fired the weapon into the ground, police said. He was being held at the Westmoreland County Prison on charges of aggravated assault, terroristic threats, reckless endangerment and related offenses. Bail was set at $100,000. He did not have an attorney listed in online court records. A preliminary hearing is set for July 18.
