Concealed carry seminar in South Huntingdon will cover Castle Doctrine, Pa. laws

Pennsylvania’s concealed carry laws and the Castle Doctrine will be the subject of a seminar Oct. 17 at the Turkeytown Volunteer Fire Department in South Huntingdon.
The seminar is being hosted by state Rep. Justin Walsh, R-Mt. Pleasant, and will be led by Kim Stolfer, president of Firearms Owners Against Crime.
“Whether you own a firearm or not, the material offered is valuable to better understand the commonwealth’s laws as they pertain to the ownership, possession and transportation of firearms. I always learn something new at each event,” Walsh said.
The workshop will run from 6-8 p.m. at the Turkeytown VFD Social Hall, 90 Supervisors Drive.
The Westmoreland County Mobile Unit will be on site to issue new or renew firearm permits to Westmoreland County residents at least 21 years old. Valid photo identification and $20 in cash or check are required.
