Cops: Export man arrested for 2 burglaries, resisting arrest

A 23-year-old Export man is in the Westmoreland County Prison without bail after being arrested for separate residential burglaries in the borough just hours apart.
Zachary Musto was arrested by state police at Kiski inside a residence on the 6000 block of Kennedy Avenue just after midnight Tuesday after troopers received a report of a burglary in process.
Trooper John Stefanik said when they approached the residence, they observed Musto, who was bleeding from injuries to his right arm, sitting on a table inside the home and screaming. Police said officers had to use a Taser to subdue Musto after he allegedly threatened one trooper and refused requests to surrender.
Several hours earlier on Monday afternoon, Murrysville police allege Musto had broken into an apartment on the 11oo block of Ohio Street and removed several items including 2 Apple iPads, a desktop computer, camera and several purses.
Police said in court documents that Musto injured his right arm during that burglary.
Musto was arraigned Tuesday before Export District Judge Charles R. Conway on charges of burglary, criminal mischief, criminal trespass and resisting arrest. Conway denied to set bail, reporting that Musto was a danger to the community and himself. A preliminary hearing is scheduled Nov. 12.
