The area near a fatal dirt bike crash along Creek Road in South Huntingdon on Sunday, Feb. 23. State police restricted access to the crash site.

An 18-year-old man was killed Sunday when the dirt bike he was driving went off a South Huntingdon road and crashed, according to Westmoreland County Coroner Tim Carson.

Donald Leasure, of Perry Township, Fayette County, became separated from the dirt bike and landed in Jacobs Creek, which runs along the road.

Carson said Leasure was traveling west on Creek Road about noon near the border of Westmoreland and Fayette counties.

Creek Road, near the village of Jacobs Creek, was blocked off while firefighters, ambulance personnel and state police worked in a rural area of the township south of Smithton. Troopers had not released any information.

The cause and manner of death are pending autopsy results.

Leasure was not wearing a helmet, authorities said.
