Export councilman completes 2,500-mile Cross Country Chase

Patrick Varine

Joe Ferri’s 1947 Indian Chief motorcycle made it the full 2,500 miles of the Cross Country Chase, from Sault Ste. Marie, Mich., to Key West, Fla., in 10 days.

Along the way, Ferri and fellow riders — including several other members of the Allegheny Mountain Chapter of the Antique Motorcycle Club of America — took in the sights along the eight-state rally course, finishing with a well-deserved celebration in the Sunshine State.

Above, see images from Ferri’s trip, along with a few “dispatches from the road,” which he regularly posted to his Facebook page along the journey.

For more, including scores from the race and the top finishers, see the Cross Country Chase website.
