A man is charged with sending pornographic images of himself to a 15-year-old Derry Township girl he met on social media.

Shawn M. Negley Jr., 18, of Marienville, Forest County, was arraigned before District Judge Mark Bilik Wednesday on charges filed by state police in Greensburg of child pornography, corruption of a minor, criminal use of a communication facility, unlawful contact with a minor and sexual abuse of children.

Negley was ordered held in the county jail after failing to post $20,000 bail.

Trooper Shane McClelland reported the investigation began in December when the girl was interviewed by state troopers. She provided investigators multiple pornographic photographs Negley had allegedly sent her over several months and requests from him that she also send nude photographs of herself on Facebook Messenger.

Bilik scheduled a preliminary hearing Feb. 26.
