A man was sentenced to state prison in connection with an Arnold-based drug trafficking ring authorities said operated in the Pittsburgh region.

Michael Terrance Scott, 48, of Parma, Ohio, entered a general plea March 26 to charges of corrupt organizations and possession with intent to deliver. Several other counts were dismissed by prosecutors.

He was sentenced to five to 10 years in a state prison and was credited with time served since May 12, 2021.

Scott was arrested in connection with what the state Attorney General’s Office described as an organization that operated in Allegheny, Westmoreland and Armstrong counties and Cleveland.

Criminal complaints filed in the case identified Scott as a mid-level dealer of cocaine, heroin and fentanyl who lived in an apartment with a woman on Drey Street in Arnold.

Agents said they used a confidential informant to make nine controlled drug buys from Scott, and they monitored his cellphone. Bags of cocaine and fentanyl were confiscated during a search warrant at the Arnold apartment.

Five others were arrested in the bust. Scott was accused of making deliveries of drugs to his co-defendants.
