A bus driver in the Greensburg Salem School District has been fired after being accused of inappropriate communication with students, according to the driver’s employer.

DMJ Transportation Safety Coordinator Mark Kraynick said the driver was recently fired after an internal investigation.

Greensburg Salem officials said the issue, which began with a call to the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services’ ChildLine, was reported as required by law, and DMJ officials handled the personnel aspects.

The driver was not identified.

DMJ employs about 250 drivers and runs buses primarily for the Greensburg Salem, Greater Latrobe and Mount Pleasant school districts, Kraynick said.
