Whether you’re looking to spend some extra time with Mom this Mother’s Day weekend or get a break from the family, here are a few ideas to get you started in Westmore- land County.

Art on Tap: Starry Nights

Belatedly celebrating May the Fourth, this edition of Art on Tap at the Westmoreland Museum of American Art will be out of this world. Part of The Westmoreland’s series of 21+ nights, this is sure to be a crowd pleaser.

There will be live music by Zen Strings, astrology readings, an art scavenger hunt and star-making photo op backdrops. There’s also a create- your-own zodiac art chart activity, and the winner gets a $30 museum shop gift card.

Tickets are $15 for nonmembers and $12 for members, and that includes entry, entertainment, snacks and one drink from the cash bar. The event will run from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the museum, 221 N. Main St., Greensburg. Register at thewestmoreland.org.

Antiques and Collectibles Market

Take Mom shopping for some spiffy antiques Sunday. This 50-year tradition brings together collectors and vendors to exchange and appreciate unique products.

The market is also for a good cause: It supports Historic Hanna’s Town and the Westmoreland Historical Society, preserving some of the other old and unique items from the local area.

The sale will take place from 7:30 a.m. until the early afternoon Sunday at Historic Hanna’s Town, 809 Forbes Trail Road, Hempfield. Learn more at westmorelandhistory.org.

What mom isn’t a fan of Fleetwood Mac? Take yours out for a night of music with this tribute experience at the Lamp Theatre in Irwin.

Tusk prides themselves on being a note-for-note perfect Fleetwood Mac tribute with no frills, just great music. With nearly 25 years of experience making music together, the five members of Tusk are professionals with great chemistry who will play all of the classic rock band’s hits.

The Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art in Ligonier will be opening a new exhibition “Spirit of Place: Fallingwater Paintings,”and this reception Saturday will give attendees a look at the works, as well as a chance to meet the artists.

The exhibit will display works by Ron Donoughe and his talented students in a variety of styles and mediums, all inspired by the beauty and landscape of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater.

The reception will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and is open to the public. There will be wine and light refreshments. The Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art in Ligonier is at 1 Boucher Lane. Learn more at sama-art.org.

With each purchase at participating businesses, you will receive a coupon for a “free flower stem.” At the end, head to the Flower Hut to customize a bouquet using your accumulated coupons. Shops along the way will allow you to sample mocktails or cocktails and also participate in special deals and discounts.
