Jeannette Community Band kicks off 36th season on Memorial Day weekend
The Jeannette Community Band will open its 36th season with a May 26 concert at the Jeannette American Legion, 109 S. Fifth St..
The 7 p.m. concert will feature the band of more than 60 volunteer musicians from the city and surrounding communities. In addition to director Ron Stemple, Maria Brecht and Dan Croft will conduct the concert. It is free and open to the public.
The 2024 season includes the following performances:
• June 29, 2 p.m. at the Ascension Church Italian Festival in Jeannette
• June 30, 7 p.m. at the Ligonier Summer Concert Series
• July 19, 5 p.m. at St. Bartholomew’s Parish Festival in Crabtree
• Sept. 8, 2 p.m. at the Italian Festival in Latrobe
• Sept. 14, time to be announced at the Glass City Festival in Jeannette
• Oct. 13, 7 p.m., for the band’s annual cabaret fundraiser at the Jeannette American Legion
• Nov. 10, 7 p.m. Veterans Day concert at the Jeannette American Legion
• Dec. 15, 7 p.m. Christmas concert at the Jeannette American Legion
