Roscoe James, 7, of Delmont raised more than $200 for the Delmont Food Pantry with a lemonade stand over the weekend of July 28-30, 2023.

Roscoe James knows the value of a good, cold cup of lemonade.

The 7-year-old Delmont resident hosted a lemonade stand the weekend of July 28-30, raising more than $200 which he donated to the Delmont Food Pantry. The miniature pantry is a box open the community at the borough’s Rose Wigfield Parklet on Greenburg Street.

It was started in the spring of 2021 by resident Ed Washburn. The nearby Delmont Public Library also hosts a collection point for anyone wishing to donate non-perishable food to the pantry.

Last year James hosted a lemonade stand and donated $100 to the Team Seas charity, which uses money to fund ocean clean-up efforts.
