A Ligonier Township man is behind bars in connection with a stabbing at his home Sunday.

Michael G. Glass, 46, is charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault, simple assault and possession of an instrument of crime.

Ligonier Valley police reported they were called to Green Valley Drive at 5:30 p.m. and a wounded man exited a home with blood on his shirt and face. He was taken for medical treatment, according to court papers.

The man told police Glass grabbed the knife during an argument and used it to stab him in the face and stomach while threatening to kill him. He wrested the knife from Glass and put it in a cabinet.

Glass came outside and was taken into custody, police said. They reported finding a large amount of blood on the kitchen floor. The knife was seized for evidence, according to court papers.

Glass did not have an attorney listed in online court records. He was being held without bail at the Westmoreland County Prison. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Friday.
